Whistler in Winter: 5 Must-Try Adventures in 2025
1. Snowmobiling
Five years ago, I went on my first snowmobiling adventure and was initially quite nervous. However, this particular tour is perfect for beginners like myself who want to enjoy all the breathtaking views at a comfortable pace. Every time I visit Whistler, I add this two-hour adventure to my list of “Whistler in winter” things to do. Since then, snowmobiling has become my new hobby.

This tour was one of the best things to do in Whistler thanks to our amazing guide. She was knowledgeable about the area, she was patient with us and I loved her jokes and energy. The best part was that she customized the tour to fit our group’s speed so that everyone could enjoy it.
Halfway through the tour we stopped by a cozy wooden cabin and were treated to complimentary apple cider and homemade cookies.
The equipment was new, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. If you need gear, the rental is free of charge. Overall, our family had such an amazing time and to this day we talk about our time snowmobiling on my birthday! For more information, check out their website.
PS: I discovered that this company also offers other tours during the warmer months. So if you’re into riding ATVs then definitely check them out.
2. Zipline
Discovering new and exciting Whistler in winter activities is a must for any visitor. As someone with a younger brother who is one of the most daring and adventurous people I have ever met, I was convinced to try the Zipline. Even though I’m a bit scared of heights, I do like adventures and stepping out of my comfort zone, so I agreed.
However, going on a Zipline was something I had never done before until I went to Whistler. I chose to do it here for the first time because I couldn’t pass up the breathtaking views, the stunning scenery, and the adrenaline rush!

In my opinion, trying out the Zipline with Ziptrek is one of the most exciting and fun Whistler in winter activities. I highly recommend it, as it is:
– well-organized
– super fun, plus
– the tour guides were awesome.
They could tell I was nervous but after some quick reassurance, my brother and I were the first to go down the 2400-foot dual zipline. Can you spot me in the picture above?
There was a total of 5 ziplines, and 4 tree top bridges. The best part was that I didn’t have to do much, not even worry about braking. Ziptrek has a special braking system, which makes for a smooth ride and finish. This tour was super fun and I can’t wait to do it in the summer as well.
3. Private Whistler Helicopter Tour And Mountain Landing
Looking for a bucket list adventure and one of the most exhilarating activities in Whistler in winter?
If you’re seeking even more excitement than ziplining and snowmobiling, then consider taking a private Whistler helicopter tour with a mountain landing.
This incredible tour operated by Blackcomb Helicopters allows you to witness the stunning beauty of Whistler, Blackcomb, and Black Tusk mountains from the air. Additionally, you will hover over Garibaldi Lake, Cheakamus Lake, Rainbow Glacier, and the stunning Cheakamus Glacier.
The pilot will give you ample time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery without feeling rushed. You will be amazed by all the spectacular views of British Columbia! I mean… can you imagine spending your birthday or anniversary here? Just seeing the views from the sky would be one of the most memorable Whistler in winter acttivities! 4. Finer Things Dinner Tour in Whistler
If you are a foodie like me and love the fine dining experience then this tour HAS to be added to your “ Whistler in winter” activities list. During this 4-hour progressive dinner tour, you will get to visit the top restaurants in the area and taste the best cuisine that Whistler has to offer, all while being guided by a passionate and professional foodie.

You will be presented with amazing dishes prepared by award-winning chefs, and you’ll even have the chance to improve your champagne sabring skills while visiting a 15,000-bottle wine cellar.
PS: Don’t forget to immerse yourself in the local culture while you’re here; there are plenty of cultural things to do in Whistler that will give you a taste of the community. The Finer Things Dinner Tour is just one example.

Consider upgrading to include wine pairings. Trust me, it’s an addition you won’t regret. It’ll elevate your culinary adventure and it is an excellent value.
