Credit cards… we all have them and we all use them… but WHICH credit cards are the best? Which ones are great specifically for travel?
Whether it’s booking my next flight to visit family, or going on a girls trip to Cancun, I always reach for my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. In addition, since we live overseas majority of the year it’s important for us to have the best credit card to use for all of our travel expenses and packages. There are a few reasons why we chose this particular card.

Why I Chose Chase Sapphire Reserve Card
First, you get LOUNGE access and it is amazing. I will never go back! Having two kiddos we usually get to the airport earlier anyways; so it’s the perfect spot for us to have some food and drinks, and relax before our flights.
With this card, you get access to 1,300+ airport lounges worldwide after an easy, one-time enrollment in Priority Pass. Once you download the Priority Pass App you just scan your card when you enter the lounge. You can check ahead of time which lounges are available for you to use through your app.
Not only do you get lounge access, there are MANY other awesome perks. One other perk I use is Door- Dash. You get complimentary access to DashPass -which unlocks $0 delivery fees and lower service fees on eligible orders for a minimum of one year.
POINTS: You earn 5x total points on flights (when you purchase travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards), you earn 10x total points on hotels and car rentals, and the best part….. NO FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEES =) We use ALL of these perks that come with the card… because WHY WOULDN’T YOU?
If you’re an avid traveler then this credit card will be worth the annual fee. It seems a bit expensive because it’s $550, BUT you get 300$ in travel credits so technically you’re paying 250$ which I think is so worth it for all the perks you get.

YES. We did thorough research before selecting this card specifically due to us traveling internationally multiple times throughout the year.
Last year we spent in Switzerland, the year before that in Greece, Israel, and this year in France.
This card is great for international travel because unlike other cards, Chase Sapphire Reserve doesn’t have international fees on purchases made outside of the US.

Yes, you can call 1-877-469-0110 or the number on the back of the card and speak to the representative about waiving the yearly fee. If you are military, Chase does offer special benefits so make sure to ask about them on the call!
