How it all started

My passion for travel started long before I ever became a mom. I was born in Ukraine and moved to the U.S. at 10 years old, but adventure has always been a constant in my life. Growing up, some of my most cherished memories were family trips—packing up, exploring new places, and experiencing the world together. Those moments shaped me, and I knew early on that I wanted to pass that same sense of curiosity and wonder on to my own children one day.

That dream came full circle when I married my husband, a professional basketball player whose career took us overseas. Our lives became a blend of travel, culture, and family—something I always imagined, but never quite knew how much I’d fall in love with.

We took our first international trip as parents when our son was just 16 weeks old—right in the middle of the COVID pandemic. I remember diving deep into research, trying to figure out how to travel with a baby, what to pack, how to keep him safe… but there wasn’t much information out there. That gap is what sparked this journey. I wanted to create the resource I was desperately looking for—real, honest, experience-based travel tips for families navigating life on the go.

Now, as a mom of two and full-time travel blogger, I share our adventures, lessons learned, and the gear that actually makes travel easier. My goal is to empower other families to feel confident hitting the road (or sky!), whether it’s your first trip with a baby or your tenth with you children in tow. – Mel
