• Comes at a price that some might not feel comfortable paying (especially if they don’t travel a lot).
• Some customers reported issues with the aluminum luggage having some faulty zippers, however, they were replaced by Away luggage warranty so it’s just something to be considerate of. Not a biggie in my opinion.
• Lighter colors seem to get dirty easily.

Simply put, the medium bag is perfect for a 1-2 week vacation, while the large is for 2+ week-long getaways. Honestly, if you’re still unsure which suitcase to get, get both and return the one that you don’t end up using! You have 100 days to return or exchange it, as long as the bag isn’t personalized. 

What Does Away Luggage Warranty Cover?

Away luggage warranty covers “functional damage to the shell, wheels, handles, zippers, or anything else that impairs your use of the luggage”.

The battery itself is only covered for two years. If a part of the luggage is broken, Away will send you a repair kit. If you are unable to fix the part, a replacement bag will be issued to you at no cost.

It’s worth noting that the Away luggage warranty has been a significant selling point for many customers. Thankfully, I haven’t had to use it yet with my Away bag, but I reached out to some friends and family to ask about their experiences, and here’s what I found out.

• A close friend of mine has been using her Away bag for over five years on many international trips. Her shell cracked, and she contacted Away for a replacement. They replaced her bag at no cost. She was impressed with their seamless process and impressive customer service.
• My aunt had an issue with a broken battery on her Away bag. After sending them a direct message on Instagram, they replaced her bag within minutes. She raved about their excellent customer service!

To conclude, the Away luggage warranty is highly respected and appreciated within the travel community. I have not come across any negative feedback regarding the customer service, return process, or warranty usage.

While the Away luggage warranty is AMAZING, there are some things it does NOT cover. They are the following:

• Cosmetic damage such as normal wear and tear, color changes, scratches, and so on.
• Luggage that isn’t purchased from an authorized reseller or directly from Away.
• Battery after two years.
