Top 3 Toddlers Travel Beds to Use After Pack and Play
Making a choice out of all the toddlers travel beds can be exhausting due to the numerous options available in the market. After my son outgrew the Pack and Play, I realized the need to invest in a travel bed for our future travels. So, I began my research, thoroughly read through all the reviews, and tested out a few toddlers travel beds.
After careful consideration, I’ve narrowed it down to these top 3 toddlers travel beds to use after Pack and Play. They are the Hiccapop Inflatable Toddler Bed, Intex Kids Travel Air Mattress, and JetKids by Stokke CloudSleeper.
In this article, you’ll find in-depth reviews on each of these options and why they made it to the top three list.
Top 3 Toddlers Travel Beds to Use After Pack and Play

1. Hiccapop Inflatable Toddler Bed
To begin with, the Hiccapop mattress is one of the best travel toddler beds out there to use after your little one outgrows the Pack and Play. It is super convenient and comfortable, made for little ones ages 18 months and up.
Unlike traditional Pack ‘N Plays, this bed provides a more spacious and cozy sleep environment, perfect for longer kids like mine (my husband’s 6’6″). We recently brought it with us to Whistler BC for my son to use. He said it was comfortable and he slept through the night for five nights, without any complaints. (See our pic below).
I chose Hiccapop not only because of the 12,000 5-star reviews on Amazon but also because of its exceptional customer service. Unlike other companies, this one offers a lifetime warranty and has a quick replacement policy. They ensure that parents have peace of mind even if accidents happen, like the occasional pop.
Safety is a top priority with the Hiccapop bed, as it’s made of inert polyvinyl chloride, passing all Federal health standards and laws. I love their design, and the bumpers on all sides prevent my son from rolling out of bed. The double plug is super secure and minimizes the risk of leaks or accidental deflation. In addition, a patch kit is included just in case any punctures occur while you’re on vacation.
Overall, the Hiccapop toddler travel bed is durable, portable, and convenient, inflating quickly with its pump and easily fitting into a carry bag for travel. Deflating it was also super easy and quick, requiring very little effort which is another reason why I recommend it.
The Hiccapop mattress is my favorite out of all the toddlers travel beds as it is a reliable option.

Pro Tip
Pack standard-size crib sheets to help reduce the “rubbery” sound and bring the Slumberpod and a portable sound machine to create the perfect dark and cozy “sleep environment”.
Yes, even with the size difference of the Slumberpod and Hiccapop, I want to assure you they DO work together. I tested it out, of course =)
2. Intex Kids Travel Air Mattress
Another option for toddlers travel beds that’s worth mentioning is the Intex Kids Travel Bed. This inflatable bed also has an all-around bumper design just like the Hiccapop and helps keep your little one snug and secure throughout the night.

While it comes at about half the price of the Hiccapop toddler bed, I had an issue with the hand pump that was included. Simply put, it was very time-consuming and tedious to inflate. Update: Intex company heard us and now sells their air mattress with an electric pump option.
Anyways, there are many great features this inflatable toddlers travel beds offers, but it’s important to note it weighs 8.4 lbs, and can quickly add bulk to luggage. It also has noisy vinyl material, but not a deal breaker as you can also throw a sheet on it and help lessen the noise. To cozy up the space for your little one, add a comfy blankie or this super cool glow-in-the-dark dino sleeping bag and pillow.
Among the pros of the Intex Kids travel bed are its reasonable price, durable construction, versatility in various environments, and the included pump and storage bag.
It is a bit larger than I expected, so the size was both a surprise and a benefit as it ensures longevity and long-term use. The size isn’t an issue, as it fits well in small spaces like hotel rooms (for reference, a king-sized pillow fits the bed). I did have some difficulty flattening it completely before I put it in the provided bag, but we got it done. Also, I feel like it didn’t stay inflated as long as the Hiccapop but it’s an easy fix.
Overall, the Intex Kids Travel Air Mattress is a solid and budget-friendly option that checks most of the boxes thus making my top 3 options on the toddlers travel beds list.

3. JetKids by Stokke Cloud Sleeper
The JetKids by Stokke CloudSleeper stands out as one of the top-tier choices in toddlers travel beds due to its clever and unique design and effortless usability. It is super light, weighing just above 3 lbs, making it easy to pack in a suitcase.
I recommend this option for those who travel quite a bit and need the lightest and most compact out of all toddlers travel beds. You can fold it quite small because of the smart packing cube design with a double zipper, helping compress it further, if needed.
Unlike other options on the market (including the two mentioned above), it features a pump discreetly built into the mattress, allowing for easy inflation by hand or foot. Interesting huh? I thought so too.
This great feature makes it perfect for destinations without easy access to power outlets. The Cloudsleeper also comes with a removable one-piece mattress and a machine-washable cover. It does seem to be a bit louder than the two other toddlers travel beds: the Hiccapop and Intex, and has that crinkle sound when you move around.
If you’re wondering about the price, it is the most expensive out of the three toddlers travel beds mentioned in this blog; however, the exceptional quality and the weight/size difference when stored are a major win. The JetKids Cloud Sleeper is a worthwhile investment for those who need the MOST compact and LIGHT out of all toddlers travel beds for their little ones.
